BUSINESS DEBIT CARDS

As your trusted business partner, The Bank of Washington offers a fullBusiness Debit range of financial tools to help you manage your business more effectively. Today's savvy business owner requires convenience and flexibility, and our Visa® debit card offers both.

Using a business debit card to pay for goods and services is convenient and eliminates the hassle of paper checks.  And you don't have to wait for checks to clear, so you can manage your company's budget in real time. The Visa logo is recognized worldwide, letting you do business everywhere credit cards are accepted, whether it's across town or across the globe!

Convenience

With 24-hour access to your business checking account, you can respond to the ever-changing needs of your company, plus the added flexibility of linking a savings or money market account lets you transfer funds for even greater convenience! It's a great cash management tool that allows you to track your company's expenses and assign individualized card limits to your employees.

Security

A business debit card is also safer than paying with cash or by check. Funds are deducted directly from your checking account, and every transaction is authenticated using your personal identification number (PIN) or via your original signature. By phone or in person, you can safely shop or pay bills with the peace of mind that comes from debit card fraud protection.

If you have travel plans that take you to other states or countries, be sure to let us know. We can unblock your international debit card transactions for hassle-free travel abroad. Just one more way we're looking out for your banking security!

Now you can keep tabs on your account any time, anywhere. Near real-time Visa Purchase Alerts powered by Visa help you reduce fraud and monitor your spending. And the service is available free for The Bank of Washington Visa debit cardholders.

With Visa Purchase Alerts powered by Visa, you can receive a text message or email shortly after your Visa card has been used. So, if there is fraudulent activity, you'll be notified and can act quickly to stop the situation. It's a unique benefit that most alert services don't offer.

Your account is automatically enrolled in the Visa Account Updater Service (VAU). This service is provided by Visa as a benefit in order to facilitate uninterrupted processing of recurring charges you have authorized. Under the VAU service, we may provide notice to Visa when your card number or expiration date change (i.e., when renewing an expiring card or merchant compromise). If you have authorized a participating merchant to bill your card for recurring payments, Visa notifies the merchant of your new card number and expiration date. Card numbers are only supplied to merchants who participate in VAU service. Because not all merchants participate in the VAU service, you should still notify each merchant when your card number changes in order to permit recurring payments to continue to be charged to your account.

To opt out of this service, please contact the Bank Card Department at 1.877.921.2432.
