Elizabeth Copstead, CPA

Elizabeth Copstead is President/Owner of Elizabeth Copstead PS. Elizabeth Copstead PS, in Edmonds, provides tax, accounting, and financial planning services to clients in the Pacific Northwest. She is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Business and Central Washington University, with graduate work at Memphis State University and Golden Gate University.  Professional and community affiliations include the Washington State Society of Certificated Public Accountants, and various local community and non-profit organizations. Ms. Copstead has resided in Edmonds for 33 years.


Robert Drewel

Robert Drewel is the former Executive Director of the Puget Sound Regional Council. His previous positions include Snohomish County Executive, President of the Executive Board of the Puget Sound Regional Council, Chairman of Sound Transit, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Everett Community College. Mr. Drewel's civic involvement includes the Henry M. Jackson Foundation, Rotary, Everett Area Chamber of Commerce, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, YWCA, and Deaconess Children's Services. He is a graduate of the University of Washington.


Michael Echelbarger

Michael Echelbarger is President of Echelbarger Properties. Mr. Echelbarger graduated in 1971 from the University of Washington with a BA in Communications. He is active in community affairs, including membership in Rotary, the South Snohomish Chamber of Commerce, and the Master Builders Association. He has resided in the Edmonds area for more than 60 years.


Glenn Gregory

Glenn Gregory is President of Obsidian Investment Advisors, LLC. Mr. Gregory provides investment management services to individuals and institutions. He is a graduate of Cornell University and received his MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. Active in the community, he currently serves on the Board of Tabor 100, as a Trustee for the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce, and as Chairman of the Urban Enterprise Center. Mr. Gregory has previously served on the Washington State Securities Advisory Committee.


Gary Jones

Gary Jones is the owner of Westgate Travel Agency. Mr. Jones graduated from the University of Washington, School of Communications in 1974. He is active in the community, being a past director of the Boys and Girls Clubs and member of the Edmonds Community College Foundation Board. He has resided in Edmonds for 48 years.


Erik Nelson

Erik Nelson is the owner of Lynnwood Honda. Mr. Nelson is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound and the Nijenrode School of International Business. He has resided in the Edmonds area for 27 years.


Brian Quint

Brian Quint is President of Aqua Quip, a 55 year-old, Seattle based, family-owned company with 9 retail stores in the Puget Sound area and approximately 80 employees. Born and raised in the Seattle area, Mr. Quint graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor's in Business Administration. Professional and community affiliations include Seattle Executives Association (past President) and Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (former Chairman). Mr. Quint currently serves on the WSU Board of Trustees, Renton Community Foundation, Kline Galland Home, and Archbright in addition to The Bank of Washington. He resides in Bellevue.


William Sanden

William Sanden is President of Fortune Management, Inc.  Mr. Sanden is a member of numerous professional associations. He is a graduate of American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He has resided in Mill Creek for 22 years.  


Gary Schmitt, Chairman

Gary Schmitt, The Bank's founding Chief Executive Officer (retired), is Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Schmitt has spent more than 44 years in the banking industry. Prior to his involvement with The Bank of Washington, he spent 32 years at US Bank where he held numerous positions in lending, operations, and management, including Area Bank President and Head of Student Lending.


Martin Steele

Martin Steele, President and Chief Executive Officer, joined The Bank and its Board of Directors in July 2013. Mr. Steele spent the prior 3 years at Charter Bank in Bellevue, a subsidiary of Boston Private Bank, where he served as President & CEO. Prior to Charter Bank, Mr. Steele held senior management positions at Commerce Bank of Washington and Bank of America. Mr. Steele's civic involvement has included board of trustee positions with Seattle Opera, Boy Scouts, ACT Theatre, Junior League, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Salvation Army, Imagine Housing, and the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce. He is a graduate of Yale University and Rutgers University.  


Mark Trumper

Mark Trumper is Chief Executive Officer of Mr. Trumper was previously the CEO of Merrill Corporation's Resource Management Division for 13 years. He has a BS degree in Management and Finance from St. Cloud University. Mr. Trumper is active in the community. He has resided in Edmonds for 25 years.
