On Wednesday, March 12, 2014, more than 500 representatives of Snohomish County organizations celebrated the close of the 2013 Community Caring Campaign at an event hosted by United Way of Snohomish County.

This annual event, Community Caring Celebration, is an opportunity to recognize local companies, nonprofits, school districts, labor unions, and government agencies for their role in organizing stellar workforce campaigns that generate funding for United Way’s mission to improve lives throughout our region.

The Bank of Washington was honored to receive an award for the Best New Campaign for 2013.

In his remarks during the event, Mayor Jon Nehring, city of Marysville, and 2013 United Way Campaign Chair said, “We were thrilled when we realized the Employee Campaign Manager for this year’s Best New Campaign was someone who believed in United Way and who had past experience with campaigns. Getting her CEO on board early and in a big way made a huge difference.”

The 39 employees at The Bank of Washington really came through to support their new United Way Campaign with 100% participation, and 100% of the gifts were designated to the Local Community Fund. The total amount raised was $5,711, with an average gift of $146.00.
