HISTORY

Founded in 1996 by a group of local businessmen, The Bank of Washington began as The Bank of Edmonds. In April 2000, our named changed to The Bank of Washington to better reflect the growing market base and our suite of commercial and residential lending services. From that single office in Edmonds, we grew to a multi-branch organization with locations in Edmonds, Mukilteo, Lynnwood, Redmond, and Everett.

In March of 2019, Sound Credit Union acquired The Bank of Washington. With strong Pacific Northwest roots, both Sound Credit Union and The Bank of Washington teams share a commitment to providing trusted and valued financial services to the communities we serve.

Together, the combined organization will share knowledge, experience and resources in the Puget Sound region.
